Overall project
Nydegg Bridge and Untertor Bridge are located next to each other and have served the same purpose for centuries: they connect the lower Old Town with the neighborhoods on the opposite bank of the river Aare. Both bridges require renovation. During construction, one bridge will serve as an alternate route for the other. That’s why the City of Bern carries out a coordinated overall project from 2027 to 2033.
